With over 20 years of experience, this husband and wife team knows their way around small engines. Plus, with Justin being medically retired and Manda working from home, they have plenty of time to devote to your failed equipment (and their adorable family with kids). Our Story

In 2018, following a diagnosis of stage 4 cancer, Justin was compelled to retire early. Despite facing the myriad stresses that accompanied his health challenges, he maintained a strong desire to contribute and assist others. Throughout this journey, Manda stood steadfastly by his side, navigating various ventures together and raising their two children.

Upon relocating to Pocatello in 2022, they recognized a local need for small engine repair services. Drawing from Justin's extensive 25-year experience as a mechanic in Arizona, and Manda's proficiency as an accountant and business operations expert, they joined forces to establish Gimme A Brake. The company is founded on the principle of delivering top-notch small engine repairs while ensuring affordability.

The choice of the name "Gimme A Brake," with "Brake" spelled like the machine part, reflects their shared personalities—fun, humorous, and always on the lookout for a good deal. Together, Justin and Manda are committed to providing excellent service and maintaining competitive prices in the realm of small engine repairs.
